The Derwent Shade and Tone Mixed Media Paint Set includes a selection of three Derwent pencil ranges and 12 paints in four popular formulations. Start with the Graphic B pencil to sketch out your artwork. Use the different formulations and tones of watercolour paints included to create your piece. Then using the Onyx and Terracotta pencils, draw over the dried paints to create dark shading and dramatic tones. The white Inktense paint can be used for highlights on tonal sketches. Great starter set for those who are confident with pencils and want to progress to paint. The reddish, sepia and greyscale tints and hues lend themselves to skin tone studies, but mix with other paint sets in our range, to really explore the possibilities. The set contains 12 half pans, 3 pencils and a mini waterbrush in a compact palette with mixing tray.
